| | | 2010-07-06 22:16:43 I am a 59yrs. young woman from Trinidad.I am retiring from my 8am.to 4pm. job in 2011. I manage a craft school(I was once a tutor at this school). Also I operate a home business `Nature Jems`.
When and how the idea to have an online business started I have no idea but it came and I decided to go with the flow. That was quite an eye-opener and mind blower for me.
Researching the idea I realised that I have to tweet and blog etc.I was stumped for I could not understand the terminologies. It was downright scary at times.I wondered if I could keep up; my time was so limited.I stumbled through trying to find the right paths. I am still stumbling but slowly and surely, I will get there.
At present I showcase jewelry that I did for clients(I do custom work).I have a blog; I tweet and I am on face book and a number of groups.
WeWebWomen is doing a fantastic job for people like me and I humbly appreciate this opportunity to be a member.
I would appreciate any comments that would help me along in the right path.I plan to open my online store 01 August.
Love you all.

Carolyn1128 | | | 2010-04-28 21:27:53 When I was young, I used to go on holiday in Italy. That's where I learned italian: on the beach, with friends. But after a few years we didn't go back there with my parents, so we lose contact with those friends. I'm not so old, but we didn't have email or Facebook to keep in touch easily at that time! And finally, we found each other a few days ago on Facebook... And we will meet very soon. That's so cool! I like when Internet bring some bonus in my life! I love the web!
Sandrine | | | 2010-03-30 22:08:24 Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Carol Sankar is the first generation American born a family who migrated to the United Stated from the Caribbean in the 1970’s. Ms. Sankar excelled in school and had her sights on becoming an attorney from the age of eight. After graduating from high school in 1994, Carol spent a few years bouncing around in corporate America while going to college part time.
In 1997, Carol was offered an internship with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office which changed her life. She had the chance to network with several attorneys, judges, advocates and politicians which gave her the chance to explore the legal world from a business aspect. Following her tenure with the District Attorney, Carol worked as a Paralegal with several of the best mid-sized law firms in New York City.
By the early part of 2000, Carol was beginning to feel undervalued and overworked in the workplace. She began to realize that her value was determined by others and wanted to find a way to define her own worth. In 2003, Carol leaped out on faith and formed her first company, New Edge, which served as a local legal outsourced entity to assist law firms, insurance companies, and multi-service firms to outsource additional services. New Edge received local press coverage in the Caribbean community.
In 2005, Carol relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina and became involved in real estate. Ms. Sankar invented systems to invest in the real estate market in Charlotte without money or credit. Today, Carol coaches and trains others on how to invest in real estate with the same strategies which works she utilizes.
In addition to real estate, Carol Sankar is passionate about entrepreneurship and the value of ownership of your own life. She coaches other entrepreneurs on the value of realizing the potential of vision and understanding how to grow your business by accepting the Millionaire Mindset.

Suzy | | | 2010-03-17 22:14:48 A few days ago, I found my 82 years old uncle connected on Facebook! I couldn't believe it! I haven't seen him for years, since I moved from hometown. And finally we were able to chat and inform each other about our daily lives. Amazin! I love Internet ;-)
suzy32 | | | 2010-03-10 10:41:43 A few months ago, I've lost a recipe that I had read in a magazine. I was desperatly looking for it one saturday afternoon, in order to cook it for my family and friends coming at night. Finally I decided to google the specific name of the recipe, and in one minute I found it! It was the exact recipe I was looking for ( a panna cotta with candies recipe!): someone had the great idea to transcript it and even to scan the page to show in which magazine she had found it! I've cooked it and since then my friends are regularly asking me to cook it again, as it was really yummy! Thanks web ;-)
